Dear Civvies, customers and supporters,
We are very conscious that we can have anywhere up to 350 people in the building at any time. This would be a mass gathering by anyone's standards. We have a responsibility to our volunteers and customers to keep them safe.
As a result of yesterday's government announcement we have suffered a massive amount of cancellations for the coming months.
In order to counter this and keep the future of The Civic safe, we now need to drastically reduce our running costs.
So we have taken the very difficult decision to close the office at times when there are no customers in the building.
At present this means that the office will only be open on Tuesdays between 4.30pm and 8pm and at weekends when there is a function on. At other times, Liz will still be working from home and can be contacted during normal office hours via email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone on 07795 558259.
These measures will come into place on Friday 20th March and at present we anticipate that they will be in place until the end of April but we will continue to monitor government advise and adapt our plans as necessary.
Events/classes still going ahead during March and April are:
Ormskirk Vocal Academy (Various)
Youth Yoga (Tuesdays 4.30)
Clubbercise (Tuesdays 7-8)
Blood Donation Sessions (Thursday 19th March)
Mamma Mia - the party (Saturday 21st March)
Thank you all for your continued support of The Civic. We have come from nothing before and we will do it again if necessary.
Liz and Gemma
