The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen's Guild Dramatic Society Production of A Christmas Carol

Thursday 27th - Saturday 29th September, 7.30pm

Are you one of those people who loves Christmas? Can you not wait until December to put your decorations up? Or are you one of those who says 'Humbug' to the whole thing? Either way, the Too Friendly Theatre Company have got you covered! For their next play they are, once again, visiting the world of the Farndale Avenue Townswoman's Guild but this time, for their production of A Christmas Carol. However, in true Farndale tradition, Christmas is actually in September and things are not quite going to plan for the ladies (and ironically) gentlemen of the Guild. A precursor to the likes of The Play that Goes Wrong, the Farndale Avenue Townswoman's Guild plays are a riotous, rollicking ride of unforced arrors, faux pas and eccentric characters you cannot help but love. 'This is actually the third Farndale play we have done in the last 10 years.' explained Director Cliff Gillies. 'We keep returning to the scripts because they're such good fun and guarantee an entertaining night out!' And Farndale's A Christmas Carol is no exception. If you're up for a laugh and want an evening of frivolity and fun, then you really cannot do any better than this production at The Civic. Last time the group performed a Farndale Play at this location, the National Operatic and Dramatic Association called it 'an outstanding evening's entertainment'. So, what are you waiting for? Book your tickets for this festive frolic and we can guarantee, you won't be disappointed. The play is on from the 27th to the 29th September and tickets, which cost £ 9, can be booked in advance from 01704 560229.
